The scene in 500 Days of Summer with the Hall & Oates song gets me every. single. time.
Welp, that unemployment lasted 2 days, I got a job today doing something I love. Booyah.
Day 2 of unemployment: eat an otter pop in my underwear while listening to records, go record shopping, eat a leftover burrito in my underwear while listening to new records. Not bad, life… not bad.
I really can’t say enough good things about Milk Music & The Men. If you haven’t heard either of these bands, get on it immediately. They are both going to blow up… currently on a westcoast tour.
The Zero Boys covered “Night Time” by the Strangloves last night, which is one of my favorite 60’s jams and they made it a mash up of Roky Erickson - You’re Gonna Miss Me and The Seeds - Pushin Too Hard. They also had great energy. Normally I am not crazy about covers, I’d prefer to hear the bands’ own music but this was so creative and unexpected.
